We are Voyages Counseling, a team of professional counselors and therapists based in Central Park, CO. We offer child, adolescent, individual, marriage, and family therapy while employing a wide range of therapeutic styles and strategies.

Choosing the right therapist isn’t a decision one should make lightly. While each of our therapists are qualified and experienced, it is important for you to feel comfortable cultivating a relationship with your therapist to get the most out of your sessions. To ensure you are making an informed choice, we suggest beginning with a free consultation phone call with a few of our therapists that seem like a good match for you. In these phone calls, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and familiarize yourself with each therapist's treatment styles, philosophies, and recovery plans. Everyone experiences emotions. However, in certain situations, it can be difficult for some to hold intense emotions inside. If your emotions feel like they are taking control of your life, career, or relationships, it may be time to seek some support in emotional regulation. Our therapists at Voyages can help you become aware of your anger, develop alternative communication approaches, and find successful strategies to manage everyday conflicts more effectively. Anger usually affects the people closest to you the most. Together, we will do the work involved to resolve underlying issues and take the necessary steps to begin to repair strained or broken relationships in your friendships, family, and/or marriage.

Grief is a universal experience. Many experience some type of loss in their lives, whether that be a beloved family member, a cherished relationship ending, or a change in one’s financial situation. The loss of someone or something we hold dear can change and challenge us, creating roadblocks in our existing relationships and moving forward. You may feel angry, alone, or lost; maybe it feels as if life itself has stopped making sense. If you or your family are coping with a loss, our therapists will help you find strategies to process your grief in a healing way. Everyone experiences grief differently. Together, you and your therapist will find your unique path towards acceptance and healing. We aim to create an atmosphere where you will feel comfortable to share, listen, and reflect inward. 

To struggle with one’s self-worth is to be human. We all feel unsure of ourselves and our place within our social and familial circles from time to time. However, if your self-esteem is not where you want it to be, it may lead you to become overwhelmed with feelings of self-doubt and shame. If you find that a large amount of your time is spent criticizing yourself, it may be time to seek help. While low self-esteem is not considered a medical diagnosis, its symptoms are just as real and damaging and can lead to more serious self-harm tactics such as eating disorders, codependency, and social anxiety. Over time, negative self-talk can distort how we see ourselves and how the world perceives us, which perhaps leads us to miss out on potential opportunities for fear of failure. Our therapists will help you find strategies to combat negative self-talk and build a resilience to adversity. Together, we work to build your confidence, self-assurance, and ability to experience a lifetime-worth of opportunities for self-love. With a confident mindset, individuals have the ability to seek out new opportunities, relationships, and experience life the fullest extent.
