Bio:
I have worked in the mental health space for over 10 years and found a passion for helping individuals meet their goals. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults with diagnoses including but not limited to adjustment and life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, behavioral concerns, Autism, trauma, crisis, or dual diagnoses.
My core training stems from a behavioral perspective and focuses on where a function of behavior may be coming from. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Behavior Intervention. I believe in a strengths-based approach and meeting clients where they are in their unique journey. I strive to create a safe and accepting therapeutic environment to foster change.
Education/Background:
I earned a BA in psychology from Colorado State University and earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. My experience crosses many therapeutic settings and levels of care including residential treatment, inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services.
Outside of my profession, I embrace the simple balance of life. I relish daily adventures, whether spending time with family and friends, playing with my dogs, exploring Colorado's stunning outdoors, or traveling.
