Our psychiatric care services are provided via telehealth by Mia Keller, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner serving clients throughout Colorado. She works alongside our Voyages Counseling therapists so medication management and counseling stay coordinated and focused on the same goals. A. Therapy focuses on skills, insight, and relational change. Psychiatric care focuses on diagnosis and medications that help regulate symptoms. At Voyages these services work together.
Q. Do I have to start medication?
A. No. You and your provider will review options and decide together. Some clients benefit from therapy only. Others do better with a combined approach.
Q. How often are follow ups?
A. Most clients are seen 2 to 4 weeks after starting or changing a medication, then every 1 to 3 months once stable.
Q. Do you see teens and adults?
A. Yes. We provide telehealth psychiatric care for teens and adults across Colorado.
Q. Will you coordinate with my therapist?
A. Yes. With your permission we collaborate with your counselor to align goals and reduce duplicate work.
Q. How quickly will I feel better?
A. Some medications begin to help within 1 to 2 weeks, while others may take 4 to 6 weeks for full effect. Your provider will set realistic expectations and check in regularly.
