Bio:

My family and I have lived in Colorado since 2011, and we love spending as much time as possible outdoors and being active. Having such a uniquely intense and thoughtful job, I am intentional about spending a lot of time being silly, goofing around with my family and friends, and as a typical family man, I play in the garden and work on projects around the house. While life is fast, especially with our two boys, I try to practice what I preach and make positive efforts to slow time down (focusing on my physical and spiritual wellness) so I can appreciate the little things.

What will sessions look like?

The look and feel of our meetings vary depending on you and the nature of your particular counseling needs, but generally speaking, I take a relational approach, which means I’m the same guy in and out of session. Additionally, because I am always learning, I not only rely on my training, but I am continually collaborating with other professionals so that I keep growing as a counselor, in an effort to better serve the people I work with. Commonly I get feedback that I am disarming which helps to make the counseling process less intimidating than what might be expected. Ultimately, it is my hope to work alongside you, to help you achieve what you want, and it is my honor to do so.

Specialty:

In both agencies and private practice, I have many years of experience working with adolescents and families in the community. I work well with couples, adults, parents, and adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression, problems within the family system, trauma, and unhealthy coping. I enjoy and have been fortunate to have experience working with a variety of different populations, and along with my relational approach, I typically use evidence-based interventions geared toward each client’s goals.
