Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, Relationships, and Family Life
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns you do not fully understand, you are not alone. Many people in Colorado Springs seek therapy when stress feels constant, emotions become harder to manage, or relationships begin to suffer under the weight of everyday life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families in Colorado Springs and surrounding communities. Colorado has been home for most of my life, and after spending time on the East Coast during my husband’s Navy service, returning here felt like coming back to where we truly belong. I feel honored to support individuals and families in this community, including those navigating military life, parenting stress, and major life transitions.
I am married to my childhood best friend and a proud mother of two (almost), with our newest baby on the way. My own experience of family life has deeply shaped how I understand emotional stress, communication breakdowns, and the importance of feeling supported during demanding seasons. That lived experience informs how I show up as a therapist with warmth, steadiness, and respect.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy exploring Colorado with my family and creating a calm, welcoming home where we can slow down and reconnect. I bring that same sense of safety and grounding into my work with clients.
Whom I Work Best With
You may be a good fit for therapy with me if you are:
-
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally worn down
-
Struggling with depression, stress, or burnout
-
Noticing irritability, emotional shutdown, or reactivity
-
Experiencing relationship or family conflict
-
Parenting while feeling depleted or unsure of yourself
-
Adjusting to military life, transitions, or reintegration
-
Wanting therapy that feels supportive, steady, and practical
Many clients I work with do not come in identifying their experience as trauma. Instead, they describe feeling constantly on edge, disconnected, exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. Therapy can help bring clarity to these patterns and support meaningful, lasting change.
My Path Into Therapy
I began my academic journey studying Sociology, originally interested in understanding people and systems from a research perspective. Midway through my degree, I realized I wanted to be part of real change rather than observing it from a distance. That realization led me to Social Work and eventually to a career in mental health and trauma-informed therapy.
This work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s story. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered at their own pace.
What Therapy Sessions Are Like
Therapy with me is collaborative and centered on your needs. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel emotionally safe, heard, and respected. Sessions are paced to real life and tailored to what feels most pressing for you.
Together, we will explore what is contributing to stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or emotional overwhelm. Over time, therapy can help you feel more grounded, more emotionally regulated, and more confident in how you show up for yourself and the people you care about.
You do not need to have clear answers before starting. We will take things one step at a time.
Areas of Focus
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the following areas:
-
Anxiety, depression, and chronic stress
-
Trauma and stress responses, including hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, and reactivity
-
Relationship and communication challenges
-
Family conflict and relational strain
-
Anger management and emotional regulation
-
Parenting and co-parenting support
-
