When you choose to begin your healing journey, you are choosing to put yourself first while working towards growth and change. Together, you and I will work to find relief from your struggles, and to develop effective coping strategies so you can live your life feeling alive and rediscover what whole feels like!

What will sessions be like?

I work to facilitate a warm and welcoming space for you to feel safe and at ease while we collaborate and face your challenges. As we work together, I will ensure the skills and techniques used in our sessions are explained, understood, and agreed upon so you never feel alone or unsure. Every individual is unique and treated as such. I never assume I know someone’s story, that story is yours to tell as we explore what brought you to this point. We will collaborate on specific goals, explore and learn about self-concept, and identify effective coping skills.

When working with children and preteens, sessions may look a bit different. We will spend time playing games and chatting to establish trust, making the process as comfortable as possible for my kiddo/teen clients.

Education and background:

I have always had a passion for helping people and a knack for listening, which led me to counsel. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University.  While taking a short break after graduation and watching the world turn upside down, I began working toward my goal of becoming a counselor. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Bio:

I am a Colorado native and still feel pure bliss when I drive West and see the beautiful Rocky Mountains. After traveling the US with my husband while he was active-duty Army, I still believe we have the best weather around! I am happily married to my husband of almost 15 years, and I am a mom to our beautiful daughter. Parenting is the most rewarding, yet challenging endeavor! In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, eating at new restaurants, spending time with our friends, walking the dog while having some peaceful moments outside, and having a BBQ when the weather is nice. Music heals my soul, and I can always be found listening to a variety.
