Specialty:

As a parent of a child who is struggling, it is often hard to figure out how to best support them. You are constantly wondering what can I do to help them feel better? It may feel like you have tried everything, that nothing seems to work and that you are going through this alone. Well, my job is literally to support, not only your child but the whole family. You are not alone in your struggles.

My approach to therapy involves a humanistic understanding of people, where I view clients as a whole, rather than just the person who shows up in the room. I place great emphasis on developing a strong relationship between therapist and client. My goal is always to support my client’s personal growth to maximize their well-being. I understand how early experiences with caregivers impact how we operate and interact with people for the rest of our lives.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of family forms that have experienced some difficulties in their lives. I enjoy engaging clients through a variety of creative and multimodal therapeutic techniques. I work to help these clients understand how the trauma they experience continues to impact them daily. Through this work as well as my own life experiences, I developed an interest in early childhood mental health and the relationship between child and caregiver.

Education and Background:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as an endorsement in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After completing my student teaching in a 5th-grade classroom, I understood I was more interested in the individual relationships I was forming with each of my students than in the teaching itself. Following this, I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California.

I do my best to honor a strong work-life balance and to model this to my clients. In my free time, I take advantage of all living in Colorado has to offer. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dog, as well as hiking, biking, and skiing. I recently discovered a new love of gardening and look forward to growing fresh fruits and vegetables all year round.
