I see everyone's life like a garden: we all have seasons of thriving crops and seasons when our plants are simply surviving in the wild. As your therapist, together we will plant seeds of change and nurture your garden back to health. In sessions with individuals, couples, and families we will collaborate to weed out the patterns that have been invading your garden and create a more sustainable environment for positive growth. We will develop insight into what is stealing vital nutrients in your garden and learn how to nourish the things you want to blossom.
WHAT SESSIONS WILL BE LIKE:
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will see that I approach sessions from a holistic point of view. I think it's very important to address mental, emotional, social, and physical well-being, thus empowering you to create your own path toward a healthier lifestyle. During our time together it is my goal to create a genuine connection, so we can identify goals and develop a safe route to help you better cope with life's obstacles. Using a blend of my family systems background, cognitive behavioral therapy certification, and mindfulness practices, I will help you learn and sharpen your tools that can make life’s detours more manageable. It is my hope that together we can collaborate to create more peace and joy in your journey!
Since 2010 I have been dedicated to improving the lives of children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families by joining them on the journey of coping with the stressors of behavioral and mental health. I knew I wanted to find a way to help others when I was in college at Pennsylvania State University. There I studied Psychology and minored in Human Development and Family Studies. I went on to earn my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University. I have focused my energy working in homes, schools, community settings, mental health agencies, and outpatient offices to create a sense of happiness, hope, and calm.
